water - buildingIn the West, we take for granted turning on the faucet and instantly receiving the most important element for maintaining our health, clean water! During the Heartbeat for Africa (HBA) Foundation board’s first fact-finding trip to Ghana, in March 2007, it was confirmed that Africa’s greatest need is clean, sanitary, drinking water.
HBA is partnering with a Ghanaian non-governmental organization to employ local contractors in the Volta Region of Ghana to build rainwater collection systems to bring clean water and therefore the hope for a healthier life to this part of Africa. Rainwater collection systems are preferable to wells in this area because of the heavy salt content in the groundwater. If you would be willing to help provide clean drinking water for Africa please select the donation form below and specify that your contribution is intended for “clean drinking water projects”! Thank you!
