Executive Director of Biblical Discipleship & Growth Ministries
Pastor Senyo Cudjoe is married to Augustine and is the father of four daughters and a son. He is the founder and executive director of Biblical Discipleship & Growth Ministries (BDGM), a non-denominational, evangelistic, Christian church-planting and training organization with headquarters in Ho, Volta Region of Ghana.
In 1985, Pastor Cudjoe became a Christian and with very little formal training began to minister in the rural villages of the North Tongu District of the Volta Region of Ghana. On August 11, 1996, Pastor Cudjoe was commissioned as an evangelist by Christian Outreach Fellowship (COF) a non-denominational missionary organization based in Accra, Ghana. In 1998, he was awarded a Basic Certificate in Christian Ministry from the Ghana Baptist Convention’s Theological Education Board after completing their primary denominational track leadership training. On August, 29 2004, he was recognized as a Pastor by the Ghana Baptist Convention and soon after he again entered denominational track leadership training at the Baptist Seminary, Abuakwa-Kumasi for the Advanced Course. He completed this training in 2006 and was awarded an Advanced Certificate in Christian Ministry. He also holds an Advanced Leadership Certificate from the Haggai Training Institute, Maui Campus in Hawaii and a Certificate in NGO Management and Charity Finance at African Centre for Leadership and Human Resource Development (ACLHRD) Ghana.
In March 1996, Senyo’s zeal for evangelism led him to start Eweland Rescue Missions Fellowship which later became Biblical Discipleship & Growth Ministries. This organization spearheads missionary work in Ghana, Togo, Benin, and Nigeria and has recently sent its first missionary to Sudan. BDGM seeks to disciple both literate and non-literate believers and train African leaders as grass-root church planters to effectively communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ using oral Bible story-telling techniques.
The Heartbeat for Africa Foundation has begun to partner with BDGM to accomplish community transformation in the Volta Region of Ghana by providing funds to bring clean drinking water to rural communities and support orphans in many villages throughout the region. In the future, we will work together to plant an orphanage in Ho as well as provide a mobile medical clinic to supply basic health care treatment. In addition to the basic medical treatment, there would also be education and counseling on HIV/AIDS prevention.
