Heartbeat for Africa is about seeing rural communities transformed throughout the 18 countries of West Africa. Transformed from within their communities; not by providing financial relief from outside sources. Each year HBA will send teams to support their Medical Ambassadors International partner to countries across west Africa. Teams are made up of people from all walks of life but with one thing in common and that is that they want to love people by coming along side of them and help them to make a difference in their life and community.
For HBA our part in this is to assist local trainers by educating them in areas that they see to be necessary in order to provide education to their community people. Through Medical Ambassadors International, HBA has access to over 2000 subject areas that can be taught.
Health and Safety subjects such as treatment of burns and cuts, purifying water, treating diarrhea; education of children at all levels; assisting trainers to starting pre school education programs; Finances; micro education and lending; HBA education travel teams are made up of people from all walks of life and all ages. Team members are provided with extensive training in country specific culture; how to conduct education training in rural settings, and our HBA team leaders work with team members to prepare them for the teaching that they will provide.
