About Houses of Hope

The Heartbeat for Africa (HBA) Foundation has developed a dual strategy for addressing the need for orphan support caused by the HIV/AIDs pandemic and other related maternal death in the Volta Region of Ghana, West Africa. HBA’s first concern is to immediately address the needs of orphans in the rural village areas of Ghana.

To accomplish this objective, the foundation will provide the opportunity for interested individuals or organizations to sponsor an orphan for $20 per month for 2 years. Working in conjunction with a Ghanaian non-governmental organization (NGO) in Ho, Ghana we have identified orphan children living in villages who are in desperate need of support. Each of these children has been interviewed and a primary caregiver in their village has been identified. Sponsorship money will be provided to these caregivers through the NGO which will also conduct follow-up visits to ensure these orphans are benefiting from your generous support.

If you are willing to provide $20 per month for 2 years for an orphan in Ghana please follow the link provided to see pictures of eligible orphans and details about how you can give them an opportunity to obtain the necessities of life and create a House of Hope! The second phase of HBA’s orphan assistance is to build an orphanage in Ho, Ghana. Please see the Good Samaritan Orphanage link on HBA’s homepage for more information.
